So, I continued to look for that swing in the photo I saw, which seemed to have a different view of La Jolla Shores and I finally found it through the hashtag on Instagram: #LaJollaSecretSwings. Some lovely ladies responded to my inquiries about the directions and they indicated that the swing is located behind the parking lot of the Birch Aquarium at Scripps, not far from where we were. So we headed there and found a small wooden bridge (about 3 feet long and 2 feet wide - very small), which leads you to a dirt path up a small hill you have to hike (literally about 5 minutes or less). At the top of that hill, you see a large tree and a single swing hanging from it facing the beautiful La Jolla Shores…
THE secret swing with a wooden seat and a message written on the back and front of it. The back reads “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory…” The front of the swing reads “Always choose love #LaJollaSecretSwings.”
It is a place worth visiting for the lovely view and great photo opportunities! (See our photos after the Spanish text).

Aun asi, continue buscando en internet el columpio que vi en la foto, el cual parecÃa tener una vista diferente hacia La Jolla Shores y finalmente lo encontré a través del hashtag #LaJollaSecretSwings en Instagram. Unas usuarias de Instagram me contestaron mis preguntas sobre la ubicación y me explicaron que el columpio está localizado detrás del estacionamiento del Acuario Birch de Scripps, el cual estaba muy cerca de donde estábamos buscando. Llegamos al estacionamiento y nos fuimos caminando hacia un puente pequeño de madera (de unos 3 pies de largo y 2 pies de ancho), el cual te lleva hacia un camino de tierra que lleva hacia un pequeño cerro que tienes que subir (literalmente duras como unos 5 minutos o menos en subir). Arriba verás un árbol grande con un solo columpio colgando con una vista hermosa hacia La Jolla Shores…
Es el COLUMPIO SECRETO! Tiene un asiento de madera y un mensaje escrito en frente y atrás. Detrás del asiento dice “A veces nunca sabrás el valor de un momento hasta que se convierte en una memoria…” En frente dice “Siempre elige amor #LaJollaSecretSwings.”
Es un lugar que vale la pena visitar por la hermosa vista e increÃbles fotos! (Vean nuestras fotos abajo).
