La Vida is Belle

All I have to say using Twitter in Las Vegas is the way to go!

This past weekend I went to “Paradise, Nevada” with my BFF and her sister and even before we left, just Tweeting about our upcoming trip by simply using the hashtag “#Vegas” we were already getting in touch with club promoters.


Well, I have to say this was the best Vegas trip I have had because we went to quite a few night clubs and pool parties in just the two days we were there! Now, we didn't go to do a "Hangover: Part 3" movie, we watched out for each other and it was really a random trip to get away from the day-to-day stress and have a good time safely and responsibly.
I hope this blog post helps you make the most out of Las Vegas with your friends and the help of social networks!

We decided to take a one-hour flight from San Diego to Vegas (rather than a five-hour drive) so much faster and easier! We arrived and rented a car at Enterprise for about $65 for the entire weekend, which was the best decision we could have made (thanks Debbie for the idea!) because without a car we would not have been able to do so many things as easily.

We stayed at the Paris hotel, which has extremely comfortable beds, however the room we received welcomed us with a big red stain on the carpet right by the door so we asked for a room change, and we got it!

On to the fun stuff!

Saturday night: We watched the “Best 2012 Vegas show”: Le Rêve at the Wynn.
Seriously, no kidding, it is the BEST show I have ever seen so far. It’s an aquatic show with lots of jumping, diving, dancing, hanging, etc., it kept me at the edge of my seat and the storyline was sweet too! I highly recommend it if you are in Las Vegas.

Afterwards we had dinner at Society at the Encore, (which is right next to Wynn). Then we went to XS night club at Encore to get on the guest list, but it was impossible that day since there was a guest DJ, but we were able to get on the list for Tryst, the sister club at the Wynn. Tryst is a very pretty club with a pool outside, similar to XS but smaller. 

Later, my friend got in touch with a club promoter via Twitter, who got us in at Chateau (in Paris - later I realized that my room key said we can skip the line and get in for free anyway!). Chateau apparently has two levels, the first one was packed so we tried to escape and ended up in an elevator thinking we were out of there but it took us to a second level outside right under the Eiffel Tower! This level was beautiful, spacious and the music was great!


Sunday:  We had brunch at “The Wicked Spoon,” the buffet at Cosmopolitan, which costs about $31 and well worth it because the food was amazing!!! I have to say it was the best buffet I have ever been to (just look at the pictures at the end of the post).

Via Twitter we contacted some club promoters for the Cosmopolitan and the Venetian to get on the guest list for the pool parties “The Marquee” at the Cosmo and “Tao Beach” at the Venetian. (I have a video of the experience at the end of the post).

After spending a long day poolside with ice-cold vodkatonics (which tasted more like tonic water) we decided to have dinner at Serendipity where we tried their famous "Frozen Hot Chocolate."  

Then we went to Pure at Caesar’s Palace, where we were already on the guest list thanks to my friend’s Twitter contacts. We had to wait for it to open so we hung out at the casino for a while and were approached by another club promoter who gave us a wristband for open Vodka bar at Pure!

After a short while at Pure we went to XS at Encore, a club promoter got us on the guest list but forgot to mention it was a pool party as well, but that’s OK we still had fun! XS is a very nice club inside and outside where the pool is, it is one of the most popular clubs right now, you can tell as soon as you see the long line to enter, but you avoid all that if you are on the guest list! (I have a video of the experience at the end of the post).

Monday: Before returning to San Diego we decided to try out the pool at our hotel, Paris, which was very calm and quiet (maybe because it was Monday) and since it was early the hotel building was covering most of the sun and the pool was cold. So, like good "frenchies" we decided go eat a crêpe by the Paris shops before leaving Las Vegas :( 

Lo único que tengo que decir que tener una cuenta de Twitter en Las Vegas es lo mejor!

Este fin de semana fui al “Paraíso, Nevada” con mi mejor amiga y su hermana, y desde antes que nos fuéramos, simplemente Twiteando sobre nuestro próximo viaje usando el hashtag “#Vegas” empezamos a recibir Tweets de promotores de antros.

Pues, tengo que decir que este fue el mejor viaje a Las Vegas que he hecho porque fuimos a bastantes lugares durante el par de días que estuvimos ahí. Tengo que aclarar que no fuimos para filmar nuestra version de la pelicula "Hangover: Parte 3", sino que nos cuidamos y realmente fue un viaje para escapar del estres diario y pasarla bien de una manera segura y responsable.

Nosotras decidimos tomar un vuelo de una hora de San Diego a Las Vegas, (en lugar de una manejada de cinco horas) es mucho mas rápido y sencillo!

Al llegar a Las Vegas rentamos un carro en Enterprise por unos $65 por todo el fin de semana, y fue la mejor decisión que tomamos (gracias Debbie por la idea!) porque sin carro no hubiéramos podido hacer tantas cosas tan fácilmente. El carro estaba bonito, tenia espacio y aire acondicionado! 

Nos quedamos en el hotel Paris, que tiene unas camas muy cómodas, pero el cuarto nos recibió con una manchota roja en el piso justo a la entrada y pedimos un cambio de cuarto inmediatamente.

Ahora, a las cosas divertidas!

Sábado por la noche: Vimos el “Mejor Show de Las Vegas en el 2012”: Le Rêve en el hotel Wynn. En serio, es el mejor espectáculo que he visto hasta ahora, es acuático, incluye muchos clavados, brincos y baile, me encanto! Lo tienen que ver si estan Las Vegas.

Después, fuimos a cenar a Society en Encore (que esta junto a Wynn), delicioso! Luego fuimos al antro XS ahi mismo en Encore para agregarnos a la lista de invitados pero fue imposible porque esa noche habia un DJ invitado, pero si nos agregamos a la lista de Tryst, el antro hermano en el Wynn. Tryst esta muy bonito, tiene alberca afuera parecido a XS pero más chico. 

Mas tarde mi amiga se contacto con un promotor de antros por Twitter para incluirnos en la lista de invitados de Chateau (en Paris). Chateau aparentemente tiene dos niveles, el primero estaba lleno de gente y ni podíamos caminar, por lo cual nos tratamos de salir y terminamos en un elevador que nos llevo a un segundo nivel afuera justo debajo de la Torre Eiffel! Este nivel era otra cosa, una terraza muy bonita con buena música, pista de baile y bar!

Domingo: Desayunamos en el buffet “The Wicked Spoon” en Cosmopolitan, costo $31 por persona y valio la pena porque creo que es el mejor buffet! Riquísimo! (Vean las fotos al final de este post)

Por Twitter nos contactamos con algunos promotores de antros para el Cosmopolitan y el Venetian para incluirnos en la lista de invitados para la fiesta de alberca en “Marquee” de Cosmopolitan y “Tao Beach” de Venetian. (Vean video al final del post)

Después de pasar un dia largo al lado de albercas con vodkatonics helados en mano (que mas bien sabian a pura agua mineral) decidimos ir a cenar en Serendipity para luego ir al antro Pure en Caesar’s Palace, donde ya estábamos en la lista gracias al contacto de Twitter de mi amiga. Tuvimos que esperar un rato para que abriera el antro y mientras estábamos en el casino otro promotor del antro nos dio un brazalete para “barra de Vodka libre” en Pure!

Después de Pure nos fuimos finalmente a XS en Encore, donde el promotor ya nos había puesto en la lista, pero se le olvido mencionar que también era fiesta de alberca. No importa porque la pasamos muy bien! XS es un antro muy bonito, uno de los mas populares del momento, se nota al llegar cuando vez la linea super larga, pero al estar en la lista de invitados te evitas eso. (Vean el video al final del post)

Lunes: Antes de regresarnos a San Diego decidimos ir a la alberca de nuestro hotel, Paris, y estaba super tranquila (tal vez porque era lunes), y como era temprano, el edificio del hotel cubría casi todo el sol y la alberca estaba fria. Mejor, como buenas "francesitas" decidimos irnos a comer unas crepas por las tiendas del hotel Paris antes de irnos de Las Vegas. :(
